For 2010 I will be undertaking one of the biggest physical challenges of my life, running The Cotswold Way.
The route is 102 miles long predominately off road on steep and undulating terrain and I am looking to complete it within 24 hours!
So roughly four marathons back to back, non stop, off road...
Easy I hear you say?
My training started in November 2008 when I decided to undertake this challenge with a client of mine, Caroline Marland. After contacting the National Wardens who do a vital job of maintaining the Way along with others throughout the country, I was told this challenge has never been officially attempted or successfully completed. They are going to recognise my run as the first official attempt. This puts even more pressure on me so it requires alot of planning along side hours and hours of training and lots of trainers! Fortunately I have the help of my sponsor Sci-MX who will be providing me with nutritional advice, supplements and clothing.
I have decided to raise money for Help for Heroes. Their work is fantastic and really beneficial.
The run will happen on May 8th and 9th 2010.
My training is going well. I have been running marathons on the treadmills at Stow Personal Training and up to 50 kilometres outside.
